The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 5506 represents just over 100 Support Staff working for the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division No. 22 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The membership is comprised of Administrative Assistants, Educational Assistants, Nutrition Assistants, Speech Assistants, Library Assistants, Interpreter Assistants, Noon Supervisors, Nurse Therapists (LPN & RN), Nurse Therapist Assistants, Caretakers, Cleaners, Bus Drivers, Computer Technicians and Network Administrator.
CUPE Local 5506 holds 9 meetings a year. The Union meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month excluding the months of July, August and December. The meetings are held at St. Michael’s School (unless otherwise noted) at 7:15 PM in the Library The doors will be open at 6:30 PM for socializing, concerns or discussions.

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 22 (HTCSD) & CUPE 5506 – Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Update
HTCSD and CUPE 5506 bargaining committees met on September 29 and 30, 2015 to commence bargaining a new collective agreement effective January 1, 2015.
The bargaining committees include the following individuals:

Two full days were spent together. The first day and a half included “Interest Based Negotiation Training”; the remaining time was devoted to: establishing ground rules, sharing agendas and negotiating additions and amendments to the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Both bargaining committees believe the days were productive and positive.
Due to confidentiality, bargaining specifics and details will not be shared until a tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached.
